Sammy’s debut get the bonus treatment

Cover of Van Halen's '5150' (Rhino)

Van Halen was doing eras before Taylor Swift was born and their second era began with Sammy Hagar and “5150″. This album was a monster. A new life for a band that had been so symbiotically conjoined with David Lee Roth. But, the bands heart was and always be the virtuosity and unrelenting genius of Eddie. The expanded edition for sale here is available on cd and vinyl. It also has demos, live cuts and more. I’m just more trying get over the fact that this album is turning 40.

Tank

Jake "Tank" Mitchell

If you asked Tank why he got in to radio he will tell you “Some kids wanted to be Zach Morris. I wanted to be ‘Dr’ Johnny Fever.” There isn’t anything else in the world that Tank could see himself doing.
